The style of the French duo Karmaá & Sophonic contributes a genuine electronic language to Traum.

Still, very much at the top of their game, Microtrauma realized they had still something to say and recorded 4 special trax that can Karmaá is a multifaceted artist who is known for his crossover project PRO7 bringing together electro, punk and disco. Karmaá is a new identity of this talented producer from Toulouse. His music can be described as an ambitious project of ethereal and deep tracks tinged with analog and ethnic influences. His music is unexpectedly poetic and leads us into an organic and synthetic world. His first EP "Black Curse" reached the top of the Beatport charts and was supported by famous artist like Popof, Boris Brejcha or Blancah. Karmaa provides a new experience to live on a dance-floor.

Leader of Toulouse electronic scene, Sophonic has multiplied his influence and diversified his roles during the last 10 years. He is founding member of Difuzion, creator of How To Kill The party events and head of Champ’Caine records. He is know for his eclecticism and his facility to mix all music genres. Now focused on production, he unveiled several projects recently including this fine collaboration with Karmaa.

Karmaa & Sophonic drive us into an unexpected universe combining deep house and indie dance into a successful and forceful collaboration. "Aquarius" as its name implies, is a journey of the ocean: a steady pace, a mysterious siren song, including analogue keyboards. All referring to the ocean discipline.

"Lies" is more urban: an 80’s sample announces an electronic vibe with powerful stabs and a complete voice processing. Sharpened synths keep the audience hooked until the end of the track which will delight old school lovers as well as new school ones.


Remixes come from well known French artist including Citizen Kain, Madben and Matt Minimal.

Citizen Kain is well known for his releases on Suara, Stil Vor Talent, Beatfreak Recordings and on our labels Trapez ltd and MBF. He often makes it into the top 10 on Beatport and is played by Tale Of Us. His remix of "Lies" for Karmaá & Sophonic is based on mighty chord stabs that reinvigorate glorious rave days with an impressive impact that he can call his own.


"Aquarius" Madben Remix

Madben is known for his releases on Ellum, Bedrock, Off Recordings and Suara. He is regarded as a guardian of the spirit of rave and has put his hands on "Aquarius". Instant transformation and deconstruction into a Hi-NRG piece of techno has been the result. Mad acceleration and explosiveness at its best create a great rave steaming engine. Matt Minimal has the support from artists such as Umek, Mark Knight, Dubfire, Joseph Capriati and many more. His music has been described as described as powerful, metal sounding and groovy. Matt Minimal’s remix of "Aquarius" is the most classic and the most minimal of the remix package and should appeal to that fanbase very much.
